Reflect and Evaluate

As part of my household duties I go grocery shopping every week. I’ve gone to the store without a plan and find myself wandering the aisles looking for inspiration, and criss-crossing the store as I remember things I need. However, if I block the time to reflect and plan before jumping in the minivan, my shopping trips go much more smoothly and I manage to get everything we need to eat for the week.

According to Jim Rohn the first step in setting powerful goals is to evaluate and reflect on where you are today. Just like when I go shopping, you should take time to think about what you have and what you want for your future. Then write it down, and reflect to determine your exact location in life. In this way as you strive for your goals you can see how much progress you’ve made.

Last week Mathew created a spreadsheet to help the team document our goals. (Click Here) Every current member of the team has their own tab within the sheet to outline their goals. (And if your name is missing, say something and we’ll add it) Let’s take this week to focus on goal setting starting with step one; Reflect and evaluate where you are now. The best way to find the promised land is to know that’s where you’re going in the first place.

Peace!
