Take a moment and put yourself back in time to when you were a child dreaming about your life. Grown ups probably asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up. You were asked to dream about what your life could be and hopefully were encouraged to dream big. However, somewhere along the way we compromise and life seems to tell us to dream a little smaller, or to stop dreaming altogether and get to work.
Dream building, is the practice of allowing your mind to imagine great possibilities for your future, and is key to setting powerful goals. According to Jim Rohn, defining your dreams and goals is the next step in achieving those goals. It's about blocking some time to allow your mind to range and think of where you want to be, and what brings the most fulfillment. Then you have to write those dreams down, and by doing so declare your intention to achieve them.
For years Matthew and I used to dream of working with a team of dedicated and smart individuals. Matt dreamed of getting paid to talk, and I dreamed of using my creativity to make a living. Now years later we’re moving closer to those goals each day with the help of the team. As part of your goal setting it's essential that you take time to dream. But when you do imagine there are no obstacles that can stop you from achieving your dreams. And guess what? You would be right.
Peace!
