Life's A Niche

Team,

One of the things that I like least about the real estate business is going out to look at properties, another thing that I don’t care much about is working directly with buyers and sellers. Although I do these things very well, I’m simply not passionate about it.

The questions that you’re probably asking yourself are: “Why would an agent not want to go out and look at properties, and why would an agent not want to communicate directly with buyers and sellers”.

Answer: About 12 years ago I was working with an investor out of Kentucky. This woman had never purchased any property in Detroit before we “virtually” met. After I explained the process to her, using my services she went on to successfully buy and flip homes that she had never laid eyes on. She was able to do this because she had a reliable team to handle her real estate investments.

I then realized that it’s not necessary to have your hands on every aspect of the deal in order for it to close successfully. I also realized that if I created a team to handle parts of the deal that I didn't like, I could close a lot more deals and everyone would benefit.

Even though I knew the importance of having a solid team, it was at that moment when I realized that having a team in real estate is a MUST. I also realized that deciding what I’ll take on myself and what I’ll delegate to the team is crucial. Its vital for all of us to determine what we love most about the real estate business and focus on those things.

My love for real estate circles around my ability to get generate any type of real estate lead I set my mind on; I love generating the lead and then passing it on to someone that wants to learn more about the business. I love taking “nothing” and turning it into “something”.

Know that in order to turn a dream into a reality you have to be prepared to….
