“Big Real Estate Sales Destinations Need a Big Number of Leads.” ~Gary Keller


The Millionaire Real Estate Agent is the best book that I’ve read on real estate. It was gifted to me by a broker that I worked under over 13 years ago; it’s one of the best gifts that I’ve received. The book as has helped me so much in the business, I can’t believe it’s been over 13 years since I read it!


Today I decided to “blow the dust” off of the book and go over couple of chapters, and I’m glad that I did. I was reminded of how important it is to consistently generate leads no matter what. This comes at a good time as we have been talking this week about working with Highly Motivated Sellers.


Often times I see agents working with one or two highly motivated clients per month, and that’s good if that’s their goal. But just imagine if you could work with 20-40 highly motivated sellers at one time?

  • How awesome would working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month be?

  • How difficult would working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month be?

  • How scary would working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month be?

  • How time consuming would working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month be?

  • How rewarding would working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month be?

  • How can you make working with 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month become a reality?

The important thing to understand is that working with (and closing out) 20-40 highly motivated sellers per month doesn’t have to be as difficult as some may believe. Most of us will talk very positively about closing lots of deals and reaching our goals, but inwardly we may have doubts, fears, and concerns….which is quite natural.


The remedy to deal with just about any fear can be found in a book and can also be found in people that have overcome the same fears. It’s just a matter of getting an understanding of that which we don’t know. In this case, you may not want to work with 20-40 sellers a month because you’re struggling with working with 4-5 per month. In your mind the thought of working with 10 a month might be daunting because you don’t know how to make it happen they way that you want with 4-5.


My advice is to read, read, read, read, read! Study the best! Research the best! Talk to the best! Model your business after the best! Strive to be the best!


Why waste time talking to a bunch of people with the same fears? They say that there is strength in numbers, and that’s true, but there is also weakness in numbers! If this wasn’t true, you would never hear about large companies failing, right? If this wasn’t true, then the key to success would be to get as many people on your team as fast as possible, right?


I think it’s safe to acknowledge that there is weakness in numbers when the numbers don’t have quality. This is why it is so important to not only generate leads, but to generate the right kind of leads. In this case our focus is now on highly motivated sellers!!


For a long time I’ve been focused on sellers, but I haven’t always been focused on highly motivated sellers. There is a difference! Nevertheless, we’re very excited to be generating highly motivated seller leads with RESU! They’re a company that gets it! Team Woods is a team that gets it! And together we’re going to get it!
