Get Used To It….

If you pitch an idea to a group of one hundred people, chances are that at least one person will love it and one person will hate it. This doesn’t make your idea good or bad, it just makes the idea popular or unpopular.

Rarely will surveys receive 100% approval or disapproval on any topic, yet we will sometimes get upset or discouraged when someone doesn’t like our idea.

If we really feel that our latest innovation is good and we have a Burning Desire to make it happen, we’re not going to allow ourselves to become discouraged if someone doesn’t like it.

If someone that I respect doesn’t like what I've come up with, I want to know why because they may have a great reason. By asking and then listening to their response, they just might help make my good idea a great one!

It’s hard to hear people critique our ideas, but it’s a part of life, so get used to it. If you need help getting used to people critiquing your ideas, try watching a few episodes of Shark Tank.

This is a show where people publicly pitch their inventions and busineses, and receive feedback from a group of successful entrepreneurs or “sharks” which isn’t always warm and fuzzy. The following clip proves that if you can take the rejection and keep it moving, you can still be successful.
