Addicted to Yoga?

A few weeks ago I made the decision to include Yoga in my morning routine and I’ve been addicted ever since! I’ll admit there are several exercises that I’m addicted to like biking, jogging, chopping wood, and weight lifting. I love each of these exercises for various reasons.

I love biking because it’s low impact on the knees, it’s my favorite way to work out my legs, it allows me to see a lot of sights (at my own pace) while burning calories, my dog loves to tag along, and most importantly I love it because it’s fun.

I love jogging because it helps to burn calories and fat fast, it builds endurance, and it helps me sleep better. I also love to jog because after the first quarter mile my mind will slip into a meditative state which allows me to process problems and solutions without stressing.

I love chopping wood and weight lifting because both exercises can build muscle pretty fast; my body reacts really quickly to weight lifting and chopping wood. I also love these two exercises because they’re both great stress relievers.

I’m really diggin’ Yoga because I feel like I’m getting the benefits of all my favorite exercises in one workout, that I can do from home. Yoga also makes me want to do more of my favorite exercise, I’ve become a more focused runner after a few 10 minute Yoga sessions.

I love so many things about Yoga, but the peace of mind that comes with it is definitely at the top of the list. Yoga has a way of telling you “slow down, enjoy the moment”, and I’ve been doing just that.

If you’re looking for simple yet effective workout alternatives, give Yoga a try. There are tons of free videos on YouTube (which is another thing that I love about Yoga), the only thing that I don’t like is that it took me so long to get serious about it!

Here’s our #TeamWoods247 Yoga playlist on Youtube, we’ll be adding our favorites as time goes by. Click Here.
