Moments in Black History: Keeping Warm While Enslaved

I try not to complain about extreme weather conditions too much because of what our enslaved ancestors had to deal with.

It was one thing for the slaves to have to deal with extreme heat, but can you imagine life for a slave in the winter?

I’m talking pre-global warming when the winters were WINTERS; after all, it wasn’t like being a slave was a seasonal job.

I’m sure the slaves weren’t issued Triple Fat Goose Coats, Isotoners, and Insulated Ugg's to keep warm.

Can you imagine the stories that were never told? I can, so I do. I can also imagine the conversations that the slaves probably had as they were crammed into their deplorable living conditions. I bet that for the most, freedom stayed on their minds every waking moment; even in their sleep.

Unlike today, whereas so many blacks will openly complain about some type of injustice, but will argue with their own families about the pettiest, most insignificant shit...then wonder why things seldom change. <Insert Expletive Here>

This has been a #TeamWoods moment in Black History
