It takes a lot of courage, a little bit of crazy, and a whole lot more to be a Strong Black Leader in America; simply having leadership skills, a passion to lead, and willing followers isn’t enough.
In the words of C.T. Fletcher, You must be obsessed! Obsessed with your mission. If you’re not obsessed, you won’t be leading for very long. I don’t care what it is that you’re leading; you could be the leader of a Kickball team and still catch unnecessary hell from a hater.
“Why she get to be the leader? She can’t even kick that far. She need to be trying to kick that man that she taking care of out the house.”
To be a Strong Black Leader, you have to ignore a lot of crap that weak minded people will fling your way.
